Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Corrosion Technician to support field operations for pipelines and facilities involved in natural gas transportation. You will design, oversee and document cathodic protection installations, perform testing and data analysis, and maintain corrosion control records.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, data collection, regulatory inspections, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–5 years of related work experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Interpersonal communication skills are required to interface with all affected teams, vendors and the public.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in changing climate conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of pipelines and facilities.
• Gather annual pipe-to-soil survey data and rectifier readings.
• Install and maintain cathodic protection systems and related equipment.
• Perform inspections and maintenance on the pipeline system and complete records.
• Ensure safe operation of the vehicle and compliance with safety/environmental regulations.
