Sundt Construction in Mesa, AZ seeks an entry-level crafts helper to assist skilled workers across industrial and commercial construction projects. You will take direction from foremen and learn safety practices while contributing to daily tasks on site.

You will perform basic math, help reduce waste, and learn to safely operate tools. NCCER Core or a high school diploma is preferred; 1–3+ years in construction is valued. Strong verbal/written communication is important.

Qualifications

• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year experience (level I), 2 years (level II) and 3+ years in industrial/construction preferred.
• Verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• Ask a supervisor if unsure about any aspect of the work or safety issues.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Safely use or operate work-related tools and equipment.
• Look for improvement opportunities and learn from others.
• Maintain positive working relationships with crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively.
• Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, and information are available.
