Sundt Construction in Box Springs, AR is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craft workers on site. You will support tasks across trades, follow directions from foremen, and maintain safety and quality in daily work.

The role emphasizes basic math, safety awareness, and teamwork. Candidates with NCCER Core and a high school diploma will have an advantage, and prior construction exposure is valued.

Qualifications

• NCCER Core Curriculum and /or a High School diploma or equivalent is also preferred.
• One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II) and three plus years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry is preferred.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effective Math skills - add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices ask a supervisor before continuing.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work.
