Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a construction helper to assist skilled craft workers on industrial/commercial projects. You will perform tasks at levels appropriate to your training and report to a foreman or higher-skilled worker.

Strong math and communication skills are important, and safety protocols must be followed. This role supports production on-site with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• NCCER Core Curriculum and high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year experience (level I), 2 years (level II), and 3+ years in industrial/construction preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effective math skills - add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• Ask supervisor before continuing if unsure about any aspect of the work or safety.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work-related tools and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks and methods; be willing to learn.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
