Job summary

You will read isometrics, measure, fabricate and install piping efficiently, align and clamp components for welding, and position materials and equipment according to specifications.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent; familiarity with butt, socket, threaded joints and rigging.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior pipefitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs and drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and safe rigging practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems per plans and codes.
• Maintain knowledge of pipe types and joint methods (butt, socket, threaded, Victaulic).
• Read isometrics, measure, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt and clamp components for welding and assembly.
• Position materials and equipment; install items per plan specifications.
• Inspect work for contract compliance and correct deficiencies.
• Comply with safety rules and work outdoors in varying weather.
