Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks skilled pipefitters to select, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems in compliance with plans, specs, codes and standards. Candidates should read isometrics, measure precisely, fabricate, weld, and fit diverse piping configurations on a construction site.

Roles involve handling tools and rigging, working in confined spaces, and complying with safety regulations while performing overtime or weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading isometric drawings and measurements is essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in pipe fabrication and installation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pipe systems: butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued and fused joints.
• Read isometric drawings; fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, clamp components for welding; assemble pipes and fittings.
• Weld and thread joints; install equipment and supports.
• Move materials safely; inspect work for contract compliance.
• Identify material thickness and type; operate tools and rigging equipment.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps and piping.
