Job Description

The Pipefitting Foreman will lead three or more workers, overseeing trades and labor work. The role requires proficiency in and knowledge of the trades to effectively manage the team. Responsibilities include:

1. Passing instructions from supervisors to workers and initiating work.
2. Leading by example and setting work pace.
3. Demonstrating proper work methods.
4. Ensuring availability of plans, blueprints, materials, and tools.
5. Obtaining information or decisions from supervisors as needed.
6. Maintaining current knowledge and assisting workers with procedures and policies.
7. Monitoring work progress and quality.
8. Leading workers to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
9. Ensuring safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
10. Reporting work status and issues to superintendents and project managers.
11. Addressing questions regarding work operations and problems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ verifiable experience in pipefitting.
• Thorough knowledge of piping blueprints, specifications, and codes.
• Knowledge of major craft blueprints and plumbing/piping systems.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with employees and clients.
• Ability to supervise multiple employees and schedule projects effectively.
• Attention to detail.
