TEKsystems is currently seeking a NOC Technician to focus on Network Monitoring and Ticket Resolution for a 3 month + contract opening.

Description

The NOC Technician will provide on-shift surveillance, management, advanced-level troubleshooting response and trouble resolution of the company's Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment and/or Core Transport Network to ensure high network availability by restoring service and minimizing field technician calls.

Responsibilities include monitoring network elements, investigating alarms, troubleshooting, responding to outages, and working with technical teams to restore service. The technician will also train junior staff, interact professionally with customers and vendors, and compile network reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of DOS/Windows/UNIX/Open view applications
  • Ability to train and guide less experienced personnel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stress management
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications and procedural adherence
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in telecommunications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (if applicable)
Pay and Benefits

Hourly rate: $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, and PTO.
