Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an experienced pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install and maintain piping systems on site in Port Arthur, TX. The role requires reading isometric drawings, fabricating components, and hydro testing to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.

Candidates should have basic tools, the ability to follow instructions, and the stamina for outdoor industrial environments, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related field experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Reading isometric drawings, taking measurements, fabricating and installing piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components of fabricated metal products to secure in position for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding and threading joints.
• Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation; and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.
• Hydro test piping systems.
