Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Abilene, TX is seeking an experienced pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems in accordance with plans and codes. You will read isometric drawings, prepare components, and perform welding and threading to join pipes and equipment.

The role requires climbing, working outdoors in varying weather, and overtime as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and hands-on piping experience, with strong safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in piping fabrication and installation preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and equipment by welding and threading.
• Position and secure materials during installation per plans.
• Identify metal thickness and type; rig and handle equipment safely.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, drills, and saws.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, and supports; hydro test piping.
