Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Port Arthur, Texas, is seeking experienced pipefitters to lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems according to plans, specs and codes.

You will read isometric drawings, measure, fabricate and weld or thread joints, align components and hydro test piping systems on a busy construction site. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to work long hours, tolerate outdoor conditions, and pass safety testing.

Qualifications

• Reading isometric drawings and measurements, fabricating and installing piping according to plans.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Capable of safe use of hand and power tools in a construction/industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Reading isometric drawings, taking measurements, fabricating and installing piping efficiently
• Align, bolt, and clamp components of fabricated metal products for welding
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment by welding and threading joints
• Position and secure materials during installation and follow plans and specs
• Hydro test piping systems
