Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Certified Journeyman pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping systems for heating, cooling, and processing facilities. The role requires NCCER certification, careful interpretation of drawings, and precise workmanship.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, cutting and threading pipe, mounting hangers and fittings, and inspecting systems for leaks while adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have NCCER journeyman certification or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Ability to plan work and select proper tools and materials.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe/type and size, supports, and hardware per specs.
• Inspect worksite for obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipe using appropriate tools and machines.
• Mount pipe hangers/brackets and install pipe fittings and joints.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and AC systems including controls.
