Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, diagram and lay‑out for pipe welder’s work.
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
• Position the weld set up, fit piping and perform welds with precision.
• Lay‑out and assemble pipes according to production standards and safety guidelines.
• Make welding repairs and substandard welds.
• Assist with pre‑fabrication layout or installation coordination.
• Operate equipment such as air arc gouger and grinder; perform tests as required.
