Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspeople in Greenville, MS. You will learn to read isometric drawings, measure, fabricate, and install piping while supporting welds and assembly tasks on a busy industrial site.

You will work under supervision, handling tools, rigging, and inspection tasks, with exposure to varying materials and safety protocols. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions in a dynamic construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with relevant field experience preferred.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Assist skilled craftsman to align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assist with assembly and securing of pipes, tubes, fittings, and equipment according to plans and welds.
• Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation; follow plans and specs.
• Learn to distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
• Learn to handle and apply rigging equipment.
• Operate beveling machines, cut-off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing piping systems.
