Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Greenville, MS seeks an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspersons by performing supportive duties under supervision. You will learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping, and help align components for welding.

The role involves handling tools such as beveling machines, grinders, torches and drills, working outdoors on construction sites, and complying with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Assist skilled craftsman to align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assist with assembly and securing of pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Position and secure materials during installation and install according to plans.
• Learn to distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
• Learn to handle and apply rigging equipment securely.
• Operate tools including bevelers, grinders, hammers, torches, drills, and saws.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing piping systems.
