Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Ridgeland, MS is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspersons by reading drawings, taking measurements, fabricating and installing piping under supervision.

You will learn to handle tools, align components, and support hydro testing and equipment installation on industrial sites, with emphasis on safety and effective communication with supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience beneficial.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Effective communication with supervision.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings and take measurements for piping work.
• Assist skilled craftspeople to align, bolt and clamp components for welding.
• Assist with assembling and securing pipes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Position materials and install items per plans and specs; assist hydro testing.
• Learn to distinguish metal thickness and types; handle rigging equipment.
