Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking an entry-level assistant to support skilled trades in piping fabrication and installation. You will learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, and help assemble and align components under supervision.

Responsibilities include handling pipes, fittings, and equipment per plans, operating common tools, and assisting with hydro testing. Ideal for candidates with basic shop experience and a focus on safety, teamwork, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand basic drawings and specifications.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions to crew.
• Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Assist skilled craftsman to align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assist with assembly and securing of pipes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Position and secure materials during installation per plans and specs.
• Learn to distinguish varying thicknesses and types of metal materials.
• Handle and apply rigging equipment safely.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing piping systems.
