Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial Calera is seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our Pipe Fabrication and Machining operation. The Machine Operators are responsible for measuring, threading, and adjusting flange fit and facing the flange on pieces of ductile or steel pipe.

The role requires operating manual machine tools such as lathes and threaders, moving pipe with cranes, and meeting production output targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a machine operator in manufacturing preferred.
• Computer skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of your team members.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow Waterman Safety Management Program and report deviations.
• Operate forklifts to move pipe and locate parts as needed.
• Test flange after threading to ensure proper fit.
• Paint and package finished product.
