Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. in Florida is seeking friendly servers to greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals with accuracy and enthusiasm. You will work a 5‑day week, assist with sidework, and help maintain clean tables and restrooms.

The role requires standing most of the shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety and sanitation policies. Florida Responsible Vendor training and food safety certification are completed upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass Florida Responsible Vendor program.
• Must pass Florida food safety certification.
• English reading/writing competence required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders accurately.

• Deliver food and beverages to tables.
• Handle guest payments and make correct change.
• Restock and maintain restrooms and dining area.

Job description

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training


• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed


• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly


• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner


• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner


• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager


• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner


• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework


• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests


• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift


• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently


• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs


• Ability to speak, read and write English


• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc


• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes


• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes


• Five (5) Day Work Week
