Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking friendly servers in Miami, FL. You will greet guests, take orders, explain menu items, and deliver meals with accuracy and speed.

The role requires standing for shifts, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and fluency in English. Training includes Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications, with a five-day work week and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders into the POS system and ensure accuracy; deliver meals promptly.
• Serve beverages and food, manage tables, and maintain dining area cleanliness.
• Process payments and provide correct change; assist with sidework and shift duties.

Job description

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training


• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed


• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly


• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner


• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner


• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager


• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner


• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework


• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests


• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift


• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently


• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs


• Ability to speak, read and write English


• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc


• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes


• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes


• Five (5) Day Work Week
