Job summary

Moderna’s Norwood, MA site seeks a Manufacturing Associate II for the Pilot Scale Operations team to support Lipid Nanoparticle and Drug Product pilot-scale production. You will execute established unit operations, prepare materials, and maintain lab and pilot-scale equipment with strong documentation discipline.

Ideal candidates have a BS/BA in a related field and 0–2 years of biotech experience, with hands-on bioprocess development and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry, Systems, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering, or closely related field.
• 0–2 years related experience in biotech/chemical manufacturing or development.
• Demonstrated success in bioprocess development and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Execute Lipid Nanoparticle and/or Drug Product pilot-scale unit operations per approved procedures.
• Prepare materials, buffers, equipment, and work areas for manufacturing execution.
• Practice Good Laboratory and Good Documentation Practices with accurate material tracking.
• Operate, clean, and maintain pilot-scale equipment and labs; maintain 5S workspace.
• Identify and communicate process, equipment, material, documentation, or safety issues with clear context.
• Support troubleshooting with observations, execution details and process understanding.
• Support onboarding, training, continuous improvement and operational excellence activities.
