Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II for its Norwood, MA site to support pilot-scale DNA production and related manufacturing activities. You will execute established DNA processes, prepare materials, and maintain equipment while ensuring strict documentation and safety standards.

The role requires 0–2 years in biotech or a related field, with opportunities to lead process executions after training.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering, or related field, 0–2 years of experience.
Hands-on biotech manufacturing, development, or lab experience preferred.
Experience with DNA/plasmid manufacturing or nucleic acid processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute established DNA manufacturing processes and units; lead processes when trained.
Prepare buffers, media, materials, equipment, and work areas for manufacturing.
Operate, clean, and maintain lab and DNA manufacturing equipment per procedures.
Document with GxP, track materials and processes accurately.
Maintain readiness of manufacturing areas per safety and 5S standards.
Identify and communicate issues with urgency and context.
Support troubleshooting and investigations with detailed observations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support readiness and execution.
Support onboarding, training, and continuous improvement activities.
