Job summary

Moderna is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Associate II for the Pilot Scale Operations team at the Norwood, MA site. The role supports Lipid Nanoparticle and Drug Product pilot-scale manufacturing in a fast-paced development environment, requiring independence, attention to detail, and strong documentation discipline.

The candidate will execute unit operations, prepare materials, and maintain equipment while adhering to GLP and GDP.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in bioprocess development, technical problem solving, and technology transfer are essential.
• Hands-on tangential flow filtration experience preferred.
• Bachelor-level degree in a related field with 0-2 years related experience required.
• Site-based role requiring full-time in Moderna’s Norwood, MA location.

Responsibilities

• Execute established Lipid Nanoparticle and/or Drug Product unit operations according to approved procedures.
• Prepare materials, buffers, equipment, and work areas to support manufacturing execution.
• Practice Good Laboratory Practices and Good Documentation Practices, with accurate material tracking.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory and pilot-scale equipment, maintaining safe 5S standards.
• Identify and communicate process, equipment, material, documentation, or safety issues with clear context.
• Support troubleshooting with precise observations and process understanding.
• Assist onboarding, peer training, and continuous improvement activities.
