Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II for the Pilot Scale Operations team in Norwood, MA to support Lipid Nanoparticle and Drug Product pilot-scale production.

The role requires a BS/BA in Chemistry, Systems, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering with 0-2 years of related experience, plus hands-on bioprocess development experience and excellent documentation skills. This on-site position emphasizes safety, 5S, and collaboration in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry, Systems, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering with 0-2 years related experience.
• Demonstrated success in bioprocess development, technical problem solving, and technology transfer are essential.
• Hands-on experience with tangential flow filtration is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in pursuit of successful outcomes.
• Exceptional written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute Lipid Nanoparticle and/or Drug Product unit operations per approved procedures; lead processes when trained and qualified.
• Prepare materials, buffers, equipment, and work areas for successful manufacturing execution.
• Practice Good Laboratory Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and accurate material tracking.
• Operate, clean, and maintain pilot-scale equipment; keep areas compliant with safety and 5S.
• Identify and communicate issues with clear context; support troubleshooting and process understanding.
• Support onboarding, training, continuous improvement, and operational excellence activities.
