Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operator/Technician to monitor equipment and processes in a GMP environment. The role involves setup, cleanup, documentation, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing procedures, supporting manufacturing runs, and assisting engineering/validation teams with new equipment. The candidate should be able to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with the warehouse and floor staff.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; science degree preferred.
• 8+ years manufacturing experience in chemical/pharma as Operator/Technician.
• Knowledge of tools, machines, safety devices used in chemical/pharma operations.
• Experience with validation, troubleshooting, and document management required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow department policies; complete documentation per GMP guidelines.
• Review procedures and batch records; suggest improvements and correct issues.
• Provide accurate material/equipment status reports; set up equipment for changes.
• Assist engineering/validation groups to implement new equipment; participate in validations.
• Coordinate with warehouse to ensure proper staging and timely supplies.
• Possible back-up team lead or floor trainer involvement.
• Perform calculations for equipment; inspect cleanliness and sign off per procedure.
