Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a skilled technician to support repair, maintenance and continuous improvement of process, facility, and utility systems to maximize efficiency and prevent production interruptions.

You will assist in design and start-up of new equipment, coordinate with vendors, and implement improvements. Requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and familiarity with regulatory requirements; HS diploma and 5+ years tech experience.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required with 5+ years of technical experience in specialty areas.
• Associates degree or technical training may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of basic regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey issues to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Works under minimal direction of supervisor or technical lead.
• Provide technical service for systems: repair, troubleshooting, and daily monitoring.
• Identify and evaluate issues and help implement solutions.
• Assist operations in troubleshooting to determine impacts on production and facility systems.
• Gather system information and specifications for production, engineering, and other departments.
• Participate and/or assist engineers in design of process equipment or systems.
• Oversee maintenance activities with daily production schedule to ensure on-time completion.
• Conduct field inspections for operability, maintainability, safety and quality issues.
