Job summary

Genera is seeking a Process Engineer to support process development, equipment operation, sample production, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement at the Innovation Center in Vonore, TN. The role involves working closely with Product Development, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, and external partners to evaluate new technologies and develop scalable manufacturing solutions.

You will plan and execute development trials, produce samples, collect data, and document results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement in a chemical, mechanical, manufacturing, paper science, industrial engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years engineering experience in manufacturing, process engineering, R&D, pilot plant, or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work safely in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain pilot-scale and laboratory process equipment.
• Produce customer, internal, and development samples to support product development projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute laboratory and pilot-scale trials.
• Support DOE activities and process optimization projects.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
