Job summary

Mejuri is seeking a Piercing Lead to drive the Mejuri Piercing Studio’s customer experience, safety, and profitability. You’ll oversee the piercing journey from greeting to aftercare, maintain high hygiene standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with Store Services to optimize scheduling and operations.

The role requires 2+ years of needle piercing experience, knowledge of threadless jewellery, First Aid/OSHA certifications, autoclave experience, and strong sales sense.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with needle piercing.
• Experience working with threadless jewellery.
• Up to date with First Aid and Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA Certifications.
• Experience working with an autoclave or statim.
• Have or be registrable with local law enforcement or meet requirements by area for permits such as the “Practitioner Registration”, Blood-borne Pathogens, First Aid/CPR, Vaccination requirements.
• Understanding of local market piercing law requirements.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols surrounding piercing procedures.
• The desire to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Bonus: you have experience selling product at a fast growing company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the piercing customer journey from start to finish, including greeting, check in, styling, transaction and aftercare education.
• Provide a calm, professional demeanor to ensure the best experience for piercing clients.
• Act as an ambassador for Mejuri and promote brand awareness in piercing studios.
• Communicate insights to Store Manager & Store Services as needed.
• Work with Store Manager to improve studio flow and processes.
• Schedule updates and online booking operations with store staff.
• Explain aftercare and signs of infection to clients.
• Explain service procedures and potential medical concerns.
