Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse for a per diem day role at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer care, and collaborate with physicians and the care team. This role requires active NJ RN license, BLS, PALS, and PICU experience.

The position features day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with three shifts per month including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
BLS and PALS certification required; BSN preferred.
1–2 years PICU experience preferred.
Proficient with EPIC EMR and related pediatric care protocols.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment.
Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.
Educate patients and families to support informed care at home.
Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to ensure seamless transitions of care.
Contribute to a collaborative, high-quality team environment.
