RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a per diem Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, safe medication administration, family education, and effective care coordination in a high-acuity NICU setting.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
Current American Heart Association BLS certification and NRP Certification
Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; prior NICU experience
Experience with EMR systems (EPIC) preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes
Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care
Serve as clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers
Educate patients and families to ensure understanding of care plans
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions
Support a collaborative, safety-focused team environment
Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and clinical ladder opportunities
