Job summary

Northbrook Park District is seeking a Pickleball Attendant for a part-time role at the Sports Center in Northbrook, IL. The position involves enforcing facility rules, light custodial tasks, gym setup/breakdown, and public interaction during events and open play.

The ideal candidate is 16 or older, with customer service experience, basic pickleball knowledge, and the ability to work independently. CPR/AED certification or obtain within one month of hire is required.

Qualifications

  • Possess basic knowledge of pickleball.
  • Work independently and efficiently.
  • CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire.
  • Knowledge of software applications, such as for program registration.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely enforces rules, regulations and policies at an assigned facility.
  • Effectively performs light custodial work and routine clean-up.
  • Completes athletic facility or gym set‑ups and break‑downs.
  • Routinely walks facility for security reasons and to inspect for safety issues such as spills, broken items and inappropriate behavior.
  • Accurately fills out accident reports, incident reports, and any other forms and schedules established by the park district.
  • May operate equipment (i.e. clocks/timers) as required.
  • Must arrive fifteen minutes early.
  • Must greet the public or team prior to any game, practice, or open play situation.
  • Diligently follows and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers in a positive manner.
  • Follows safe work practices.
  • Attends trainings and meetings as required.

Love athletics, flexibility and variety? Join our team as a Pickleball Attendant! This position is responsible for maintaining order and enforcing rules at any gym, or athletic facility, light custodial work, and dealing with the public in a variety of situations at a park district facility. Demonstrates commitment to the Mission, Vision and Guiding Principles of the District.

Pay & Schedule:

$15.40 - $17.50Per HourThis is a part-time, non-exempt position.Monday - Friday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PMMaybe asked to work weekends.Anticipated Start Date: 9/18/2026

Duties & Responsibilities:

Qualifications
