Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a PI Systems Analyst in Charlotte, NC with 2+ years of hands-on AVEVA PI System administration. You'll manage PI Tags, AF templates, analyses, and notifications to ensure well-modeled plant data for business and engineering users.

Responsibilities include building AF elements, configuring automated alerts, troubleshooting end-to-end data flows, and collaborating with end users. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AVEVA PI System experience (AF SDK, PI Tags/AF Templates/Analyses/Notifications).
• Working knowledge of .NET Framework/Core and MSSQL.
• Familiarity with PI DataLink, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces.
• Basic networking knowledge (firewalls, ports, network diagnostic tools).
• Strong written and verbal communication with end users.
• Ability to work independently and follow/improve documented procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit PI Tags for new and existing data sources.
• Build AF Elements using Templates and design new AF Templates with substitution parameters.
• Develop AF Analyses and configure Notifications for automated monitoring and alerting.
• Troubleshoot data flow end-to-end from sources to PI Vision/PI DataLink.
• Follow procedures and contribute improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to end users and document steps for continuity.
• Apply understanding of firewalls and network testing to support data connectivity.
