Job summary

Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging is seeking a Physician Support Specialist to serve as the first contact for post-service physician inquiries. You will ensure timely resolutions for report and image-sharing requests and coordinate physician portal access and onboarding.

Responsibilities include triaging requests, guiding physicians to forms, maintaining CRM notes, and escalating complex issues to Level 2 Support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Professional appearance and customer service experience are a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft products; willingness to learn department software (CRM, RIS, PACS, etc.).
• Knowledge of Radiology procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer post-service physician calls routed through the phone system or transfers.
• Offer access to the Physician Portal for report requests and email results when required.
• Direct physicians to website forms for image-sharing requests.
• Manage physician image and report request queue with timely processing.
• Handle report addendum requests including corrections and comparisons.
• Notify referring offices of urgent results in a timely manner.
• Coordinate doctor-to-doctor consult requests and onboarding for new users.
• Gather interface inquiry details and escalate to Level 2 Support for follow-up.
• Assist with CPT code lookups and insurance questions using SDMI guides.
• Escalate technical issues to Level 2 Support and maintain CRM notes.
