Job summary

Steinberg-Diagnostic-Medical-Imaging is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our call center, delivering patient-focused service by answering calls promptly and maintaining clear communication. You will assist with appointment scheduling, collect demographics, and process referrals to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role involves verifying benefits and insurance, handling inquiries from patients and referring providers, and coordinating tasks to support outpatient radiology

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with some healthcare/reception experience.
• Experience in a healthcare call center is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT).
• Ability to navigate computer systems and type ~45 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls promptly in a call center environment and provide clear, patient-focused service.
• Assist patients with appointment scheduling and collect/update demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Process referrals and verify benefits, eligibility, and authorizations for patients.
• Coordinate and respond to patient and referring-provider concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Execute outbound calls and manage electronic tasks to support outpatient radiology services.
