Job summary

Join Parachute, LLC is seeking a Physician Substitute in Ruston, LA to oversee donor health and safety and contribute to a welcoming donor experience. You will work with center staff to maintain a positive environment and ensure quality clinical care in a fast-growing plasma donation center.

The role involves health screenings, handling donor reactions, and cross-training across center functions, with growth opportunities in a high-energy, tech-enabled team.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in the state of employment as a healthcare professional (RN/Paramedic/LPN/EMT)
• High school diploma or GED or higher
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed
• Work collaboratively with all center staff
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant
• Cross-train in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation

Education

Registered Nurse license

Paramedic license

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Emergency Medical Technician (ATC/EMT)

High school diploma or GED

Current BLS/CPR certification
