Job summary

Join Parachute in Athens, TN is hiring a Physician Substitute to support donor health and safety within a lean, high-growth team. You will work with center staff to ensure a positive donor experience and maintain compliance across all clinical tasks.

The role offers cross-training, opportunities to take on more responsibilities, and a pathway to grow within a rapidly expanding organization that values efficiency and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or higher education.
• State-licensed or certified as RN/Paramedic/LPN/EMT as applicable.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand/sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams.
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed.
• Work collaboratively with all center staff.
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant.
• Cross-trained in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation.
