Job summary

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in Des Peres, MO is seeking a dedicated physician to join our fast-paced team. You will examine patients with acute conditions, take medical histories, order diagnostic tests and coordinate follow-up care in a modern clinical environment.

The ideal candidate is board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds, holds an active state license and has 2+ years of post-residency experience.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• 2+ years post-residency experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups.
• Proficiency in minor procedures and reading EKGs/X-rays.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Examining and treating patients with acute conditions.
• Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications.
• Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations.
• Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care.
• Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support.
• Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.

What We're Looking For

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
• Active state medical license

• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers
