Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in St. Louis, MO is seeking a physician to join Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care. You will provide a wide range of clinical services, order tests, diagnose and treat acute conditions, and supervise PA/NPs in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Board-certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• 2 years of post-residency clinical experience, urgent care or emergency medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examining and treating patients with acute conditions.
• Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications.
• Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations.
• Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care.
• Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support.
• Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.

What We're Looking For

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
• Active state medical license
• 2 years of post-residency clinical experience, ideally in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting
• Experience treating patients across all age groups
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers

Your Role
