Job summary

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in St. Louis, MO is seeking a dedicated Physician to join our urgent care team.

You will independently provide a wide range of clinical services, including exams, histories, diagnoses, and prescribing medications in a fast-paced setting. The role requires board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds, an active medical license, and 2 years post-residency experience.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Experience treating patients of all ages.
• Proficiency in minor procedures and reading EKGs and X-rays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
• Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
• Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations.
• Document patient progress and coordinate follow-up care.
• Supervise and collaborate with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support.
• Work 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.

What We're Looking For

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
• Active state medical license
• 2 years of post-residency clinical experience, ideally in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting
• Experience treating patients across all age groups
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers

Your Role
