Job summary

Responsibilities

• Actively promote primary care, emergency, inpatient, behavioral health, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging services.
• Maintain continuous engagement through in-person visits, informal check-ins, and structured outreach efforts.
• Engage with Hospital District leadership, community organizations, local employers, and business leaders.
• Coordinate strategic meetings between leadership and external stakeholders for regional partnerships.
• Represent Riceland Healthcare at community events, lunch-and-learns, and provider engagement sessions.
• Maintain awareness of patient transitions across service lines and notify relevant departments for continuity of care.

Position Overview

As the Physician Relations Liaison, your primary focus will be our facility in Winnie, Texas—Riceland Medical Center. You will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with the community, increasing awareness of the hospital’s services, strengthening referral pipelines, and driving patient volume across all hospital and outpatient service lines.

While the Winnie market is the anchor of this role, you will also dedicate a portion of your time collaborating with our broader liaison team. Together, you will expand Riceland’s reach across Southeast Texas—including Mont Belvieu, Baytown, Anahuac, Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, China, Sour Lake, and Beaumont—building brand awareness and strengthening relationships in the communities we serve.

• Serve as primary point of contact for local clinics, physician practices, EMS/emergency responders, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities.

Community & Strategic Partnerships

• Support outreach efforts for community health programs, preventive care, and assisted living expansions.

Marketing & Visibility

• Develop and distribute a local hospital news bulletin and community updates regarding new physicians and service expansions.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to share field activities, highlight community leader meetings, and build brand awareness.
• Represent Riceland Healthcare at community events, lunch-and-learns, and provider engagement sessions.

Internal Coordination & Reporting

• Maintain awareness of patient transitions across service lines and notify relevant departments to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize a structured monthly tracking system (Excel) to report on engagement frequency, referral growth, and service trends.
• Provide leadership with data-informed insights into market gaps, referral barriers, and expansion opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in physician relations, healthcare marketing, business development, provider outreach, or medical practice management.
• Experience working with hospitals, physician practices, healthcare systems, or medical groups is strongly preferred.
• Experience developing referral networks and community partnerships is highly desirable.
• Ability to work full-time with flexibility for occasional weekend event support.
