Job description

This role will function hybrid between a physician’s liaison and a marketing position, focusing on building relationships to drive referral volume. The individual will also represent the hospital at community events, coordinate earned media opportunities and support the development of local social media content and marketing materials.

Relationship Development & Referral Growth

• Build and maintain strong relationships with physician offices and EMS providers
• Conduct regular outreach visits to referral sources to support service line growth (ER, specialty services, etc.)
• Identify opportunities to increase patient referrals and communicate feedback from the field to leadership

Community Outreach & Events

• Represent the hospital at community events, health fairs, and local organizations
• Coordinate and staff outreach initiatives (screenings, educational programs, sponsorship events)
• Identify new opportunities to increase community presence and engagement

Marketing & Communications Support

• Assist with development of social media content aligned with service line priorities
• Support creation and distribution of marketing materials (flyers, rack cards, presentations)
• Ensure brand consistency and appropriate messaging across materials

Media & Public Relations

• Assist in identifying and coordinating earned media opportunities (local press, community stories)
• Support media outreach by gathering information, coordinating interviews, and assisting with story development

Internal Coordination

• Work closely with marketing leadership to align outreach efforts with strategic priorities
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and service line directors to support growth initiatives
• Track outreach activities and provide regular updates on engagement and opportunities

Qualifications & Skills

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in healthcare marketing, physician relations, community outreach, or sales
• Experience working with physicians, healthcare providers, or community organizations preferred

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role

Preferred Skills
