Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a per diem Primary Care Provider to join our team, covering shifts at correctional facilities around the Minneapolis metropolitan area. The physician will perform medical assessments, address emergent to routine issues, and oversee chronic disease management.

Requirements include an MD/DO, active license or ability to obtain, and board certification or eligibility in Family/Internal/Emergency Medicine. DEA registration and credentialing background checks are required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• DEA registration with prescriptive authority is required.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical assessments and evaluations.
• Provide treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues.
• Manage chronic medical conditions and supervise treatment as needed.
• Collaborate with Site Medical Director, Statewide Medical Director, and Health Services Administrator to ensure clinically appropriate services.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Minnesota Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a per diem Primary Care Provider to join our team to cover shifts at Correctional Facilities located in and around Metropolitan, Minnesota. The Primary Care Provider will fill in as needed when the clinic is open Monday through Friday.The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.
