Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Primary Care Physician for the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore, MD to deliver medical assessments and routine care.

The physician treats emergent, urgent, and routine issues, supervises chronic care, and partners with the Site Medical Director and Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient services in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license.
• Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care.
• Current DEA and CDS registrations.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background checks.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Primary Care Physician at Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore, MD.

Monday - Friday Day Shift

The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Primary Care Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

• Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care required
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and (CDS) registration
• Correctional Healthcare experience preferred not required
