Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of scheduling experience in a physician's office or hospital.
• Must possess excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with commonly used office software and practice management/scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of physician appointments, surgical procedures, tests and other services.
• Obtain authorizations, pre-certifications and referrals; verify and code charges with billing.
• Schedule, confirm and adjust appointments; communicate instructions to patients as needed.
• Answer calls, document in medical records, update demographics and insurance in the system.
• Assist physicians and front office staff as needed to maintain smooth workflow.
