Job summary

Banner Health seeks an experienced Physician Practice Supervisor to co-supervise day-to-day clinic operations across Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. You will mentor staff, drive quality improvement, and uphold Banner Health policies and patient care standards in a busy clinic.

Location: Banner Medical Group - 7701 W Aspera Blvd, Phoenix, AZ. Schedule generally 8:30am–5:00pm with varying hours. Exempt position requiring flexibility to meet clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree; some roles may require certification as Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or LPN.
• Two years of experience in a physician's office or medical environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance card may be required for certain behavioral health settings.
• Arizona criminal history affidavit must be signed at hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of non-physician staff to ensure productivity.
• Train, coach, motivate, evaluate staff; schedule non-physician staff across offices.
• Oversee reception, scheduling, patient service areas, records, and clinical support functions.
• Serve as liaison between staff and physicians to ensure quality patient care and smooth operations.
• Maintain office policies and procedures in line with physician and facility requirements.
• Identify equipment and maintenance needs; coordinate repairs and supplies.
• Cover front/back office tasks and assist with medication administration as directed.
