Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Physician Onboarding Specialist to manage the full HR onboarding lifecycle for providers across two Indiana Regions. You will be the primary point of contact from offer through the first weeks of employment, coordinating I-9s, background checks, licensure, and compensation setup.

You will build welcome experiences, schedule orientations, and collaborate with HR, legal, finance, and operations to ensure a smooth start for physicians and advanced practice

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with large data management systems.
• Experience in a highly matrixed and complex environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of provider onboarding processes, compliance, and HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for providers during onboarding.
• Coordinate welcome outreach, I-9 processing, background checks, NPI verification, and compensation setup.
• Support licensure, payer enrollment, and insurance processes.
• Plan and run day-long orientations and build two-week schedules.
• Monitor timelines to ensure start dates without delays.
• Build relationships with providers and cross-functional partners.
• Plan for hiring volume with recruiters.
