Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Medicine or Osteopathy.
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited U.S. or Canadian school; foreign degrees accepted with ECFMG certification.
• Full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S., D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territories.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent occupational physical examinations, including pre-placement, medical surveillance, disability retirement, and fitness for duty assessments.
• Coordinates with facility and community resources to deliver comprehensive work-related care, considering medical history, diagnostic tests, and emerging procedures.
• Counsels employees on workplace hazards and exam results; advises management on work restrictions and accommodations.
• Interprets ancillary test results such as blood panels, pulmonary function tests, X-rays, and audiograms to identify occupational diseases or personal health issues.
• Diagnoses and manages on‑job illnesses and injuries, stabilizes urgent cases, and ensures accurate documentation of all examinations and treatments.
• Participates in continuing education to maintain clinical expertise.
• Serves on professional committees, develops medical surveillance programs, and evaluates workplace hazards through site visits.
• Provides consultative advice on patient care, performance improvement, and risk management initiatives.
