Responsibilities
  1. Serve as a recognized expert to provide Occupational Medicine services to employees in various occupations, ages, and health issues. Independently perform occupational physical examinations of various types, coordinate with facilities and community resources, counsel employees, notify management, apply new procedures, conduct research, interpret ancillary test results, diagnose and consult for follow-up evaluations, evaluate and treat on-the-job illnesses and injuries, stabilize and transfer urgent cases, document examinations and treatment, and participate in continuing education.
  2. Serve as member of the professional medical staff and provide advisory and consultative services on meetings, committees, conferences, and boards. Develop and oversee medical surveillance and qualification programs, participate in committees evaluating care, recommend corrective action, participate in performance improvement and risk management programs, conduct periodic worksite visits, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Board certified or eligible.
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a US or Canada accredited school in the year of graduation (or foreign MD equivalent with ECFMG certification).
  • Permanent, full, unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or US territory.
