Intermountain Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Electrophysiologist to join our Heart Rhythm program in St. George, Utah. The role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic and EP laboratory work within a collaborative cardiovascular team.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted Utah medical license.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Preferred experience with lead extraction procedures.
  • New graduates and fellows are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in EP lab and outpatient clinic with approximately 50% clinic and 50% EP lab time.
  • Perform device implantations and complex ablations as part of a broad EP program.
  • Participate in the lead extraction program and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with General Cardiology, Structural Heart, and Vascular specialists to grow the EP service line.

About This Opportunity

Intermountain Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Electrophysiologist to join our thriving Heart Rhythm program in beautiful St. George, Utah. This opportunity offers the chance to join a highly collaborative cardiovascular team within one of the fastest-growing regions in the Mountain West.

The St. George Heart Rhythm team consists of four Electrophysiologists and seven Advanced Practice Providers, working alongside robust General Cardiology, Structural Heart, and Vascular programs.

Due to continued growth across the region, we are expanding our team with this additional physician position.

Practice Highlights
  • Primarily based at our St. George clinic and hospital, with occasional outreach coverage in Cedar City, Utah and Mesquite, Nevada
  • Approximately 50% outpatient clinic and 50% EP laboratory time
  • Shared call rotation of 1:5 with the addition of this position
  • Two dedicated EP labs currently in operation, with renovations underway to add a third procedural suite
  • Wide range of procedures including:
    • Device implantation
    • Complex ablations
    • Lead extraction program
    • Left atrial appendage closure (Watchman)
  • Strong multidisciplinary collaboration with General Cardiology, Structural Heart, and Vascular specialists
  • Excellent procedural support and readily available device industry partnerships
  • Opportunity to help shape and grow a high-demand regional electrophysiology service line
How we'll support you
  • Base Salary: $738,000 annually
  • Continuous Improvement Pay: Up to $100,000 annually beginning in Year 2
  • CME Allowance: Up to $5,000 annually beginning in 2027

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $7.25 - $999.99
