Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Electrophysiologist for Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT. The EP program includes 2 labs and a team of 4 EP physicians and 4 EP APPs, with an integrated system-wide cardiology group and broad regional referrals.

The position is full-time with a 1-in-5 call schedule, and the EP physician acts as a consultant. Employment is through Intermountain Medical Group, with comprehensive benefits and credentialing support.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification/eligibility in electrophysiology required or pursued.
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Full-time, Monday–Friday with 1 in 5 EP call schedule, may include holidays/weekends.
• Consultant-based EP physician role.
• Two procedure days and three outpatient clinic days per week.
• Collaborate with 4 EP physicians and 4 EP APPs.
• Employment through Intermountain Medical Group.
• Work with system-wide cardiology group.
• Engage with a large referral network of general medicine and subspecialties.
• Two EP labs equipped with mapping systems and ablation modalities.

About this role

Intermountain Health is currently looking for an Electrophysiologist to join the Intermountain Health Electrophysiology (EP) program with primary practice at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah - a designated Level II Trauma Center situated between the Salt Lake Valley and St. George. The EP program at Utah Valley Hospital is a part of an integrated system-wide EP team within Intermountain Health and provides outreach to several of our rural hospitals. Here are some highlights you can expect.

• This position will be full time, Monday-Friday with a 1 and 5 call schedule that may include holidays and weekends for EP calls only.


• Patients admitted to the hospital are cared for by well trained and collegial hospitalists, EP Physician is consultant based only.


• There will be two procedure days and three outpatient clinic days.


• You will work hand in hand with 4 other EP physicians and 4 dedicated EP APPs.


• Employment is with Intermountain Medical Group


• Work collaboratively with our system-wide cardiology group


• Engage with a large referral network of general medicine practitioners and are supported locally by a robust spectrum of subspecialties


• 2 EP labs are equipped with sophisticated mapping systems and ablation modalities

What you’ll bring

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine


• Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Electrophysiology and/or related board certification


• Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license


• U.S. ACGME Residency


• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
